, president obama will unveil his 2012 budget proposal and the battle how to spend the money will begin. the president is promising to slash spending, but still wants to invest in education, infrastructure, and research. republicans say the country can't afford those investments right now and wants deeper spending cuts. >> this morning i sent a letter to president obama signed by 150 economists that say that cutting spending now will help create a better environment so that we can begin to create jobs in our country. >> we are going to make tough choices. the question is do we do it in a way while we're making the tough tradeoffs, we're making the critical investments that creates jobs for the american people. >> the president's budget would freeze government spending over the next five years and freeze government workers salaries for the next two. turning now to the weather, somewhat windy day for more on what he can expect from the start of the workweek, we go to steve rudin. are you giving everything away in this one? >> we're going to hold the end of the seven-day for you coming up.
